Investigative report reveals Israeli occupation’s use of weapons leading to “evaporation” of thousands of bodies in Gaza

GAZA, Feb. 11 (YPA) – An investigative report aired on the program “The Rest of the Story” (Lil Qisa Baqiya) has revealed field testimonies and official reports documenting the disappearance of thousands of victims’ bodies in the Gaza Strip.

Experts attribute this phenomenon to the use of weapons with extreme thermal and vacuum effects.

According to the investigation, titled “The Evaporated” (Al-Mutabakhirun), Civil Defense crews, paramedics, and families documented the evaporation of more than 2,842 martyrs. At the targeted sites, only minimal human remains and traces of blood were found.

Technical Analysis and Expert Testimony

The investigation explained that these strikes may have been carried out using thermobaric (vacuum) explosives, which generate high temperatures and extreme pressure that lead to the dissipation of human fluids and tissues.

Experts—including a former inspector for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)—stated that this pattern of destruction is typically associated with high-thermal-impact munitions capable of completely annihilating bodies within enclosed spaces.

Field Documentation and Humanitarian Impact

Missing Remains: Families provided testimonies confirming the disappearance of their loved ones’ bodies following the bombing of homes and displacement centers.

Discrepancies in Numbers: The Civil Defense reported that the number of bodies recovered at specific sites was significantly lower than the documented number of people present, reinforcing the hypothesis of “evaporated” victims.

Legal Concerns: The investigation noted that the use of such weapons in populated areas raises legal questions regarding compliance with the rules of International Humanitarian Law, specifically the principles of distinction and proportionality, despite “Israel’s” denial of using prohibited weapons.

Current Casualties Overview

The Civil Defense estimates that approximately 10,000 bodies remain under the rubble. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression since October 2023 has risen to more than 72,000 martyrs, and nearly 172,000 injured.
