Israeli occupation continues to violate ceasefire agreement in Gaza

GAZA, Feb. 01 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continued, on Sunday, to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, despite the transition to the second phase of the truce agreement, through bombing and gunfire operations targeting various areas of the Strip since dawn.

Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces demolished a number of citizens’ homes east of Gaza, while Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis and north of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, in addition to gunfire and artillery shelling targeting the eastern areas of Khan Younis.

The same sources also stated that the Israeli occupation army detonated a booby-trapped robot northeast of Gaza, and its vehicles opened fire east of Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, as well as towards the eastern areas of Gaza.

In the most violent Israeli escalation since the start of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, 31 Palestinians were killed yesterday, as a result of intense Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in the Strip explained that among the martyrs were 15 citizens who died as a result of a bombing that targeted Sheikh Radwan police station northwest of Gaza, in addition to a number of others being wounded.
