RAMALLAH, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Zionist settlers uprooted on Wednesday 200 olive trees in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah.
Palestinian residents said that a group of Zionist settlers infiltrated the town’s plain area and deliberately uprooted the trees, casing significant damage.
According to documented data, settler attacks over the past year resulted in the killing of 14 Palestinians and caused 434 fires in Palestinian-owned land and agricultural fields. The highest number of fires was concentrated in the Ramallah governorate (181 fires), followed by Nablus (79 fires), Hebron (42 fires), and Tulkarm (26 fires).
Additionally, settlers carried out 892 attacks that led to the uprooting, damaging, vandalizing, and poisoning a total of 35,273 trees, including 26,988 olive trees. The governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Hebron, and Salfit were the most affected.
