Sanaa: Government measures to ensure stability of food supply situation in Ramadan

SANAA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri, held an expanded meeting on Monday in Sanaia with food producers and importers.

The session focused on mechanisms to secure the local market’s needs for basic and consumer goods, specifically in preparation for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

The meeting stressed the provision of high-quality, diversely priced goods while strictly enforcing price labeling to prevent unjustified hikes.

 Furthermore, the Ministry urged the private sector to engage in regional consumer exhibitions and pledged to support national capital by streamlining facilities and resolving logistical challenges for traders.

For their part, private sector representatives confirmed their full commitment to meeting market demands and ensuring the availability of all essential goods, praising the continuous coordination with the Ministry to overcome economic hurdles.
