Israeli admissions: Yemeni blockade renders “Eilat” Port out of service, turning it into a symbol of historical defeat
SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The Israeli enemy’s media admitted on Tuesday to the imminent and comprehensive collapse of the vital Port of “Eilat” (occupied Umm al-Rashrash) due to the suffocating naval blockade imposed by the Yemeni Armed Forces for over two years in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.
This comes amid a state of widespread confusion and the exchange of accusations within the institutions of the occupation entity.
A Painful Reminder and Strategic Failure
The Hebrew “Channel 14” reports described it as “painful” regarding the reality of the port, confirming that “Eilat” has transformed from a strategic economic gateway into a mere “painful reminder” and a symbol of Zionist failure in the face of Yemeni operations.
In its report, the channel emphasized that the standing truth is that “we did not win,” in a clear reference to the inability of the entity’s military and technological power to counter the maritime ban imposed by Yemen on ships heading to the ports of occupied Palestine.
Governmental Collapse and Evasion of Responsibility
In statements reflecting the depth of the internal crisis, the channel quoted the Chairman of the “Knesset” Finance Committee as making an explicit admission of failure. He confirmed that the Zionist government has “completely abandoned” the Port of Eilat, noting that no government ministry within the entity is willing to take responsibility or extend a helping hand to the port, which has suffered from total stagnation for two years.
Reports clarified that the port is experiencing an unprecedented state of neglect in the absence of any government rescue plans, leaving the port management to face its fate alone against billions in economic losses.
Mass Layoffs and Threats to Israeli Industry
On the economic and social levels, the Channel 14 warned of catastrophic repercussions affecting the entirety of “Israeli industry” as a result of the port’s disruption.
It revealed an imminent plan to dismiss 130 workers from the port’s staff as a first stage, following the government’s failure to fulfill its promises to support the port and provide operational budgets.
Economic observers believe that the fall of the Port of Eilat from the map of active navigation represents one of the biggest blows dealt to the enemy’s economy during the Gaza war. The port served as a primary artery for importing vehicles and goods from East Asia—an artery that Yemen effectively and capably severed.
Yemen Imposes Its Equation
These Israeli admissions confirm the success of the Yemeni equation imposed by Sanaa, which prevents the passage of ships linked to the Zionist entity or those heading toward it. This is part of the “Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad” battle to support the Palestinian people and their resistance in the Gaza Strip—a battle that has inflicted unprecedented economic and strategic losses on the enemy since the entity’s inception.
