OCCUPIED QUDS, Jan. 14 (YPA) – 135 international and human rights organizations have urged, in a joint letter, Honduran President Iris Sarmiento to relocate her country’s embassy from occupied Quds (Jerusalem), asserting that its current location constitutes a clear violation of international law and UN resolutions.
The organizations emphasized that the status of Jerusalem remains a “final status issue,” and that maintaining the embassy there contradicts Honduras’ international commitments and its policy of supporting peaceful resolutions.
This appeal follows an extensive international campaign aimed at rejecting unilateral actions that alter the legal and political status of the Holy City.
