Yemen condemns repeated Israeli intrusions into Al-Aqsa Mosque

SANAA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The Saaa-based Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned on Wednesday the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli occupation’s minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

In an official statement, the ministry described the intrusion as a blatant violation of international law and a provocation to the sentiments of over two billion Muslims worldwide.

It warned Israeli authorities and settler groups against continuing such acts, adding that the Arab and Islamic world’s silence encourages the ongoing desecration towards Al-Aqsa.

The statement further cautioned that harming the holy site could open the gates of hell on the Israeli occupation and destabilize security across the region.

It stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque remains one of the most important Islamic holy sites and cautioned also the Israeli occupation against persisting in acts of aggression and violations against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

The ministry’s statement called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities, compel the occupation to halt its attacks on Islamic holy sites in Al Quds, and end its occupation, siege, and aggression in Palestinian territories.

It reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, emphasizing its commitment until they attain their legitimate rights.
