Araqchi: Israeli occupation boasts of arming rioters in Iran

TEHRAN, Jan. 14 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that the Israeli occupation is openly boasting about arming rioters with live weapons inside Iran, considering this direct intervention as main reason for the hundreds of casualties during the ongoing events.

Araqchi emphasized in a post on his X platform account: “Tel Aviv has always sought to drag the United States into fighting proxy wars, but this time it is revealing what it had been hiding very loudly,” indicating that it is openly admitting to distributing weapons to armed groups that infiltrated the ranks of the initial peaceful protests.

The Iranian Foreign Minister added: “The occupation is boasting about arming the rioters, and this is the reason for the hundreds of deaths,” indicating that the violence did not come from the peaceful demonstrators themselves, but rather from externally supported terrorist elements that targeted both security forces and civilians.

Araghchi addressed a direct message to US President Donald Trump, saying: “Trump must now know exactly where he must go to stop the killing and bloodshed,” warning that US support or silence regarding Israeli intervention will lead to greater escalation.
