Top Sanaa official warns of dangerous Saudi steps blowing region

SANAA, Jan. 12 (YPA) – Member of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Abdulmalik al-Ajri, described on Monday Saudi Arabia’s efforts to build armies from hardline Salafi groups and remnants of al-Qaeda leaders and fighters as a catastrophic mistake.

In a post on the X platform, he warned of its repercussions for Yemen’s future and the security of the entire region.

Al-Ajri said the consequences of this mistake would not be limited to Yemen alone, nor would it pose the greatest threat to the authority in Sanaa. Instead, he warned, it endangers Yemen’s future as a whole and undermines the security of its surrounding regional environment.
