Israeli occupation forces raid wedding in Al-Eizariya, arresting groom

OCCUPIED QUDS, Jan. 10 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed on Saturday a wedding hall in the town of Al-Eizariya, east of occupied Jerusalem (Quds), transforming a marriage celebration into a scene of chaos and violence.

The raid resulted in the arrest of the groom and several guests.

Supported by military reinforcements, occupation forces stormed the hall while firing sound grenades and deploying pepper spray in the crowded indoor space, causing mass cases of suffocation among the attendees, according to Palestinian media.

In a harrowing scene, the groom was assaulted and led away in his formal wedding attire to military vehicles, while several other young men were also detained.

The raid caused widespread panic among women and children and left the venue’s interior heavily damaged.

Local residents described the incident as a deliberate attack on Palestinian social life and part of a continuous policy of harassment targeting the daily lives of Jerusalemites, turning a moment of joy into a scene of distress.
