WEST BANK, Jan. 07 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces raided several cities, towns, and villages across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem at dawn and during the morning on Wednesday, launching a widespread arrest campaign targeting a large number of Palestinian residents.
Early Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by bulldozers, stormed the town of Anata northeast of Jerusalem to carry out demolition operations.
They also raided the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, targeting several homes.
In Hebron, the occupation forces stormed the town of Halhul north of the city and carried out arrests. In the village of Siris, south of Jenin, the army used stun grenades and tear gas.
They also raided Al-Jalazon refugee camp north of Ramallah and the Al-Tira neighborhood, searching multiple homes.
Seven Palestinians were reportedly injured from tear gas inhalation and beatings during a raid on the town of Aqaba, north of Tubas, overnight.
Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services in Tubas Governorate Nidal Odeh, said medical teams treated six cases of tear gas exposure and one injury caused by physical assault by soldiers, all treated on-site.
The occupation forces had stormed the town of Aqaba with several military vehicles, firing stun grenades and tear gas, and also raided the city of Tubas shortly before storming Aqaba.
