Hamas praises car-ramming operation near Ramallah

GAZA, Jan. 05 (YPA) -The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed that the heroic car-ramming operation near Birzeit, north of Ramallah, comes in the context of popular anger and as a legitimate response to policies of killing, repression, and displacement.

The operation comes amid the escalation of Israeli crimes and ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, including rampant settlement expansion in the West Bank, daily raids, and systematic attacks carried out by the Israeli army and settler militias against citizens and their lands, Hamas said in a statement.

In its statement, Hamas stated that “resistance, in all its forms, is a right of our people and the means to confront the enemy’s schemes, its violations of the West Bank, and its attempts to impose facts on the ground through settlement and attacks on our people, land, and holy sites, without deterrence or accountability.”

Hamas called on the masses of our people in the West Bank and Jerusalem to mobilize further and escalate comprehensive confrontation with the enemy and its settlers.
