North Korea labels US ‘rogue state’ over Venezuela

PYONGYANG, Jan. 05 (YPA) – North Korea denounced the United States’ capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as a “serious encroachment of sovereignty.”

“The incident is another example that clearly confirms once again the rogue and brutal nature of the US,” the state news agency KCNA quoted a spokesman for the North Korean Foreign Ministry as saying.

The Foreign Ministry “strongly denounces the US hegemony-seeking act committed in Venezuela as the most serious form of encroachment on sovereignty,” the spokesman added.
