Saudi Arabia sends forces of Homeland Shield to fight STC militia in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 05 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia send its loyal forces of “Dera Al-Watan” (Homeland Shield) to confront the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in the southern Yemeni governorates of Shabwa and Abyan.

Media sources reported that dozens of vehicles crossed Al-Wadi’ah border crossing en route to Shabwa governorate to force the STC militia to surrender its heavy weapons and withdraw to Aden.

It should be noted that the operation primarily targets the large STC reinforcements stationed in Shabwa that fled from the governorates of Hadramout and Al-Mahra, in addition to others that remained in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa, the sources added.
