RABAT, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Dozens of Moroccans organized a protest rally in the capital Rabat on Saturday to demand continued support for Palestine, especially amid the severe cold wave sweeping the Gaza Strip, which is exacerbating an unprecedented humanitarian crisis caused by the Israeli blockade.
The rally was organized by the NGO “Action Group for Palestine” in front of the Moroccan parliament building.
The protesters condemned the ongoing blockade of Gaza, warning that it has deepened the social and humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
They called for continued support for the Palestinian people, especially as the deteriorating weather conditions exacerbate their suffering.
The Moroccans chanted slogans such as” Shame on you, Gaza is in danger”,” a popular salute to the Palestinian resistance”, and ” shame on you, Gaza is destroyed.”
They also held up banners calling for the protection of Islamic holy sites in Palestine, adding that the Moroccan people stand united against aggression, with resistance and the support of Palestine.
Rashid Falloul, a member of the Working Group for Palestine, denounced what he described as the suffocating siege imposed by the occupation on Gaza, stressing that the current situation constitutes an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
