Cold wave expected to hit mountainous areas

SANAA, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology warned citizens in the mountainous highlands of the cold weather.

In its air bulletin, the center clarified that a cold wave would target various provinces of Bayda, Dhamar, Sanaa, Omran and Saada, Ibb, Dhalea and Lahj, with the possibility of sporadic rains on parts of west of Saada, Hajjah and Mahweet.

The center called on motorists to drive carefully as a result of a decrease in horizontal visibility due to fog on roads and mountain slopes.

It also warned visitors to the sea, fishermen and ship captains of the sea disturbance and the rise of waves in the south of the West Coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandeb.
