British newspaper: STC meets Israeli officials secretly

LONDON, Dec. 14 (YPA) – The British newspaper The Times said that there are direct communications between the Southern Transitional Council (STC), which is supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Israeli officials.

According to the report, the STC sent delegates abroad to hold meetings aimed at building bridges with Tel Aviv, as part of the STC’s efforts to garner international support for its core project of secession and the re-establishment of the so-called “Southern State.”

The newspaper reported that the STC’s strategic goal for these moves is to obtain official American recognition of its separatist ambitions, which is viewed as a decisive step toward realizing its political project on the ground.
