UN calls on Israeli occupation, its main supporters to rebuilding Gaza

LONDON, Dec. 13 (YPA) – UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, has called for “Israel”, the United States and major arms suppliers to be obliged to bear the costs of the reconstruction of Gaza.

At an event organized in London, Albanese affirmed that what happened in Gaza amounted to “genocide”, stressing the need to hold accountable all those involved in supporting these actions.

She explained that the responsibility does not lie solely with Israeli occupation, but also includes all the countries that have provided military and political support,

The UN official stressed the need to impose real sanctions on these countries, calling on countries to” sever their relations” and end any cooperation with the occupation.
