Meteorology issues statement regarding expected weather in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and early warning on Saturday issued a statement regarding the expected weather in Yemen.

In an air bulletin, the center called on the residents of the mountainous highlands from the cold weather, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the night and early morning.

It clarified that a cold wave to be expected on the heights of the provinces of Saada, Omran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, the heights of Hadramout, Shabwa, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, Mahweet and Hajjah, with fog forming on the mountainous highlands.

The center warned sea visitors, fishermen and ship captains south of the West Coast and Bab el-Mandeb of sea turbulence and rising waves

It also called on motorists to drive carefully on mountain slopes and ravines as of low horizontal visibility.
