HADRAMOUT, Dec. 09 (YPA) – The UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions withdrew on Tuesday from some strategic areas of Hadramout province.
Sabri bin Makhashin, a media officer, in the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance (HTA) confirmed the STC left all positions and military points located in Al-Hadabah area in Ghayl Bin Yamin in the center of Hadramout, after controlling it over the past days.
He added that the armed elements left also all the sites surrounding the PetroMasila, Yemen’s largest oil company, under intense pressure from Riyadh.
Bin Makhashin said in a post on the Facebook that the extensive field movements confirmed the end of the existence of any formations loyal to the UAE, which he described as “irregular” in the vicinity of oil facilities and Al-Hadabah area.
The HTA’s media officer pointed out that the leadership of the Saudi forces began the stage of redeployment of its factions, in order to ensure the security and stability of Hadramout.
