SANAA, Dec. 08 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Specialized Criminal Court started on Monday the trial of defendants accused of operating a spy network for the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Israeli Mossad, as well as Saudi spy agency.
During a hearing, the defendants responded to the charges and requested access to case files. The court also deferred further review of the evidence to the next session.
The indictment also clarified that the convicts recruited officials for foreign agencies and submitted proposals about dozens of sites and secrets related to the political, military and security situations that benefited the enemy.
Meanwhile, prosecutors affirmed that the individuals engaged in activities that undermined Yemen’s independence, unity, and defense capabilities.
