Civil Defense in Gaza recovers 98 bodies from Al-Shifa Medical Complex

GAZA, Dec. 08 (YPA) – The Civil Defense crews in Gaza Strip recovered 98 bodies of martyrs who had been buried inside Al-Shifa Medical Complex during periods of aggression, including 55 unidentified bodies, on Monday.

The Civil Defense said that specialized teams extracted the bodies and handed them over to forensic medicine and relevant authorities to complete examination and documentation procedures.

It explained that dozens of other bodies remain inside the hospital, and that work is ongoing to recover them all in the coming days, as part of efforts to identify the missing and determine the identities of the martyrs.

This operation comes as part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to reorganize the hospital’s courtyards and warehouses, after months of bombing and incursions by the Israeli occupation forces that left a large number of martyrs inside medical facilities.
