Russian air defenses down 116 Ukrainian overnight over several regions

MOSCOW, Dec. 06 (YPA) -Russian air defense forces shot down 116 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over various regions of Russia overnight, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Saturday.

In a detailed statement, the ministry said that on-duty air-defense systems intercepted and destroyed the drones throughout the night.

The highest number of drones — 29 — was downed in the Ryazan Region. Another 27 were destroyed in the Voronezh Region, 23 in the Bryansk Region, and 21 in the Belgorod Region.

In addition, air-defense forces destroyed six drones over the Tver Region, three each over the Kursk and Lipetsk Regions, two over the Tambov Region, and one drone each over the Tula and Oryol Regions.
