Al-Bukhaiti comments on Hadramout conflict: What did Islah Party benefit from Saudi-Emirati coalition?

SANAA, Dec. 03 (YPA) – Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, an official in the Sanaa government and a member of Ansarallah’s Political Bureau, commented on the latest developments in Hadramout governorate, eastern Yemen.

This comes after Hadramout saw the seizure of control by factions loyal to the UAE and the expulsion of Islah Party factions from their camps and centers in the oil plateau.

Al-Bukhaiti’s comment came in a post on his new account named “Jabhat Al-Wa’i” (The Awareness Front) on the (X) platform, wondering “What did the Islah Party benefit from summoning the Saudi-Emirati Coalition?”

He asserted that Saudi Arabia and the UAE placed “Ansarallah and the Islah Party together on the terrorism list,” renewing his call for Islah to “return to the nation’s side,” and noting that what is happening in “the occupied governorates” is a futile conflict reflecting Saudi-Emirati tension over influence and wealth.

Al-Bukhaiti also indicated that “Ansarallah” sympathizes with the Hadrami community, but intervention would only occur if the “request for intervention is within the framework of restoring Yemen’s sovereignty.”

He concluded by affirming that the main issue is “our unity to restore the sovereignty and independence of Yemen from Saada to Mahra.”
