Coalition militias loot ancient archaeological site in Taiz
TAIZ, Feb. 12 (YPA) – Militias belonging to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen have looted an ancient archaeological site in Taiz province, seizing a large quantities of ancient gold and antiquities, an official document seen by Yemen Press Agency on Monday.

According to the document, the looted antiquities included marble and gold statues.
The document came in an official memorandum reported to the security apparatus in Taiz.
The document showed that the militias on military vehicles have come from outside Taiz and arrived in the eastern region of Shamaya area, where the ancient archaeological site has recently discovered.
The militias are affiliated with ex-president Saleh’s nephew Tareq Mohammed Abdullah Saleh, who is backed by United Arab Emirates occupation forces.
