SANAA, Nov. 13 (YPA) -A senior official in Sanaa has called on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to immediately release political activist Adel Al-Hassani, who was reportedly abducted while in India.
Hizam Al-Asad, a member of the Shura Council in Sanaa, wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Adel Al-Hassani is a Yemeni citizen, and the small state on the Omani coast—the UAE—has no right to abduct him, especially while he is outside its territory.”
He added, “Harming any Yemeni citizen is an affront to the entire Yemeni people, who have freed themselves from guardianship and are now masters of their own destiny. We reject any injustice against any of our sons.”
Al-Asad urged the UAE to act, saying: “Take the initiative to release him and restore his rights… otherwise, the price will be high.”
