BAGHDAD, Nov. 09 (YPA) – Special voting for military and security forces and displaced persons began in Iraq, on Sunday.
Iraq will hold general voting next Tuesday, with 21,404,291 voters participating in the special and general elections for the sixth session of the Iraqi parliament since 2003.
Today’s voting includes 1.3 million voters from the security and military forces, along with more than 26,000 displaced persons.
The Independent High Electoral Commission stated that the army, police, security forces, Kurdish Peshmerga forces, Popular Mobilization Forces, and displaced persons will cast their votes in the special voting this morning, which will continue until 6:00 PM, when the ballot boxes will close electronically.
