Prominent leader injured due to bloody clashes inside Giants camp in Shabwa

SHABWA, Nov. 03 (YPA) – A commander in the UAE-backed 13th Giants Brigade was wounded on Monday in clashes that erupted inside the Al-Alam training camp in Shabwa Governorate, southeastern Yemen.

A well-informed local source confirmed that Mazen Fadl Ali Al-Humaira, an aide to the 13th Giants Brigade, was attacked from behind inside the camp by armed men led by Youssef Al-Ma’da and his companions, resulting in injuries to Al-Humaira.

The source stated that the attack quickly escalated into a violent fistfight between Giants Brigade members, which then turned into a regional battle between Al-Ma’da’s supporters, who hail from Dhalea Governorate, and Al-Humaira’s supporters within the camp.

The source indicated that the Al-Alam training camp is experiencing a state of heightened security and tension among its members amidst sharp tribal and regional disputes.
