Sayyed Abdul-Malik praises traffic police for their humanitarian, service efforts

SANAA, Nov. 03 (YPA) – The leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, praised the humanitarian and service role of the Traffic Police—particularly the Highway Traffic Unit—for their efforts in assisting citizens along the long roads connecting Yemen’s provinces.

Sayyed al-Houthi described these efforts as “a great work with a real impact, saying it shows genuine responsibility and dedication in serving the people.”

This came in a memorandum addressed by Sayyed al-Houthi to the Minister of Interior, in which he lauded the performance of the Traffic Police and emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of their work, keeping it pure and free of any behavior or misconduct that could harm its reputation or undermine its humanitarian purpose.

It is noteworthy that since the launch of its operations in mid-2024, the Highway Traffic Police Unit has provided 25,073 services through 11 traffic centers located along the main interprovincial routes (Sanaa–Saada, Sanaa–Taiz, Amran–Hajjah, Dhamar–Al-Bayda, Ibb–Hodeida, and Ibb–Al-Dhalea).

These services included 823 accident removals, 605 rescue and emergency operations, 2,936 mechanical repairs, 2,676 towing operations, 2,222 tire services, 857 battery jump-starts, 595 fuel supply operations, in addition to 3,360 other humanitarian missions.
