Angry protest called in Aden against service collapse, unpaid salaries

ADEN, Nov. 02 (YPA) – Activists in the city of Aden, which is controlled by the Saudi-led coalition, called on Sunday for an angry protest in front of the gate of Ma’ashiq Palace, which serves as the headquarters for the government and the Presidential Leadership Council.

The protest aims to condemn the aggravating collapse of public services in the city, particularly the persistent electricity crisis, in addition to demanding the payment of employee salaries that have been halted for the fifth consecutive month.

Organizers confirmed that the demonstration will witness broad participation, including the families of wounded and deceased recruits loyal to the coalition, who are demanding the “restoration of their looted and seized rights.”

This popular mobilization comes amidst escalating public dissatisfaction, following the coalition-affiliated government’s failure to secure employee salaries or purchase fuel shipments necessary to operate power generation stations, thereby exacerbating the living and service crises in the city.
