ADEN, Oct. 31 (YPA) – Anger has escalated in the southern street due to the mounting economic crises and deteriorating living conditions in Aden.
In this context, the prominent parliamentarian and academic, Abdulrahman Al-Wali, issued a strongly worded warning to the “Presidential Leadership Council” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, vowing an imminent popular uprising.
In a post on the (X) platform, Al-Wali criticized the council for meeting in Riyadh, stating, “The Presidential Council meets in Riyadh next to the sponsor whose satisfaction is important to them. They do not meet in Aden because the people’s satisfaction does not concern them.”
Al-Wali added that the interior suffers from “ultimate subservience to the outside,” with a lack of services, electricity, and delayed salaries. He vowed that “the people will wake up at the appropriate time as the cup has overflowed,” warning of an impending popular outburst against the current authorities.
Observers cautioned that this warning could represent the spark that ignites the fuse of a major explosion in southern Yemen.
