DAMASCUS, Oct. 28 (YPA) – A young man and woman were killed, and 11 Syrian citizens injured in an attack launched by unknown gunmen in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced on Tuesday that the attack hit a civilian passenger bus near the Marjana station on the Damascus-Suwayda road .
The Observatory noted the recurrence of these incidents, particularly near the only humanitarian crossing linking the provinces of Suwayda and Daraa, increasing the risks facing civilians amidst the difficult security conditions.
Commenting on the incident, the National Guard Command in Suwayda condemned in a statement the incident, describing it as the work of “criminal gangs affiliated with the terrorist al-Julani regime”.
The statement confirmed that the bus was carrying “emergency humanitarian cases,” describing the attack as a “treacherous assault” targeting unarmed civilians in a “desperate attempt to impose chaos and destabilize”.
