MARIB, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Over 700 recruits were suddenly expelled after being recruited by the coalition forces in the so-called “Safer Emergency” in the city of Marib, which is under Islah Party control.
Local sources familiar with the matter revealed on Friday the mass expulsion decision included this large number, including almost 50 recruits from the Bayhan district of Shabwa province.
These recruits had joined these factions on the basis of a one-month training course, followed by formal procedures including the issuance of weapons and military numbering.
The sources reported that the leaders of these factions did not fulfill the promises made to the recruits, as they were suddenly and collectively expelled and removed, sparking widespread anger among the residents.
The sources explained that what happened was a deception targeting the people, describing the shameful behavior of the “militias,” amidst the recruits’ demands for the return of their stolen rights.
They pointed out that the families of the expelled recruits were moving toward escalation and the restoration of their sons’ financial and moral rights, warning of the repercussions of leaving these young men without rights after they were recruited on the basis of joining the coalition-affiliated factions.
The families emphasized the need to enroll their sons in the factions they had promised to join.
