UN Security Council to discuss Palestinian issue today

NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2025 (YPA) – The UN Security Council will hold its regular open debate on Thursday on “the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue.”

At the beginning of the meeting, members are scheduled to hear a briefing from the Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Ramiz Alakbarov.

It is worth noting that today’s meeting was designated a special event on the Council’s agenda by a decision of the Russian Federation, the Council presidency for this month.
