GAZA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of the Bani Suheila town, east of Khan Younis, and the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza City late last night, Palestinian sources reported.
No casualties were immediately confirmed, but the shelling caused damage in both locations.
Meanwhile, Palestinian health officials confirmed that Karim Washah, a 22-year-old from the New Refugee Camp in northern Gaza, died from injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike on Sunday.
The ongoing conflict in Gaza has claimed the lives of at least 68,234 Palestinians, with more than 170,000 injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
Since a ceasefire was declared on October 11, at least 88 Palestinians have been killed and 315 others wounded. In addition, emergency teams have recovered 436 bodies from beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings.
