SANAA, Oct. 20 (YPA) – A solemn official and popular funeral procession was organized on Monday in the capital Sanaa for the late Chief of Staff of the armed forces, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari.
During funeral procession, hundreds of thousands of mourners from across the capital and various provinces converged on Al-Sabeen Square and the People’s Mosque for the solemn event, which featured broad official and popular participation.
The funeral prayer was led by the Mufti of the Yemeni Lands, Shams Al-Din Sharaf Al-Din, who made a firm speech. Sharaf Al-Din affirmed that collaborators with the Israeli and American enemies are considered apostates from Islam, urging citizens to report anyone proven to be involved or concealing such traitors and agents.
The participants carried portraits of martyred commander al-Ghamari and Yemeni flags and banners, demonstrating popular support for the Resistance and ongoing struggle against US-Israeli aggression.
