With US green light, Israeli occupation aircraft commit new massacre in Nuseirat refugee camp

GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched on Sunday a series of “intensive” airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, targeting the city of Khan Younis and the Nuseirat refugee camp.

This came after receiving the “green light” from the White House through direct US coordination channels, according to a senior official cited by the American website “Axios.” The deadly escalation resulted in dozens of dead and wounded, including children and women, leading medical sources to describe the scene as “catastrophic and horrific.”

The website indicated that American officials, including Witkoff and Kushner, held a call with Israeli Minister Ron Dermer and other officials to discuss the next steps in Gaza. Despite giving the green light, “Washington urged the Netanyahu government to respond proportionately, but with restraint.”

On the ground, local sources confirmed that the Israeli warplanes conducted over 30 consecutive airstrikes on the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis within less than half an hour, using “fire belts.”

In the Nuseirat camp in the center of the strip, a “new massacre” occurred following the occupation’s planes bombing of the “Al-Sardi” school, which shelters displaced people, resulting in dozens of dead and wounded. Al-Awda Hospital reported the arrival of four dead and 13 injured as a result of this massacre.

For its part, the Israeli occupation army announced in a brief statement that it “began a new wave of raids against Hamas targets in the southern Gaza Strip.”

American sources indicated that “the next thirty days will be crucial,” and that the United States “now bears direct responsibility for what is happening in Gaza, especially regarding the implementation of the agreement and determining future decisions.”
