15 killed, others injured, including children, journalists in intense Israeli raids on Gaza

GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, launching a series of intense raids targeting several areas in the Strip on Sunday evening, killing 15 people and injuring several others, including children and journalists.

The violations included targeting civilian homes and displacement tents.

In Al-Bureij refugee camp, the occupation aircraft targeted a home belonging to the Abdul-Hadi family, leading to casualties and widespread destruction of surrounding homes. In Khan Yunis, in the southern Strip, an “Israeli” drone bombed a tent housing displaced people near the Asdaa City area, resulting in the killing of one woman and two children and injuring several other children from shrapnel.

Additionally, two journalists were killed in an Israeli raid that targeted a building housing a group of media workers in the town of Al-Zawayda in the central Strip. Local sources confirmed that one of the victims was the son of journalist Mohammed Al-Za’anin, who was killed in the same bombardment. The Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the northeast of Gaza City also witnessed new shelling by the occupation aircraft targeting residential areas, though the toll of casualties from that attack is not yet known.

Medical sources confirmed that the number of martyrs has risen to 15 as a result of the occupation’s aggression since dawn today.

These violations occur at a time when a comprehensive ceasefire, which entered into effect days ago through international mediation, was supposed to be in place, threatening the collapse of the fragile agreement and worsening the suffering of residents living under harsh humanitarian conditions.
