Sanaa in cooperation with ICRC destroys quantities of coalition weapons remnants in Hodeida

HODEIDA, Oct. 15 (YPA) – The Executive Centre for Mine Action (ECMA) in the Sanaa government, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), carried out a field campaign on Wednesday to destroy quantities of explosive remnants of the Saudi-led coalition’s weapons in Hodeida province.

The campaign included the destruction of 250 anti-vehicle mines and 50 anti-personnel mines in the Mandhar area.

The team reviewed the work of the field teams in the districts of Al-Hali, Al-Hawak, and Al-Mina, which succeeded in clearing wide areas of minefields and war remnants.

The Head of the ICRC Mission praised the efforts of the national teams, confirming the committee’s continued support for the center’s activities and the enhancement of its capabilities to protect civilians.
