Aden governor accuses coalition of entrenching conflict in southern provinces
SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The Governor of Aden province, affiliated with the Sanaa government, Tariq Sallam, accused on Tuesday the Saudi-led coalition, which he describes as “new occupation,” of entrenching conflict in Yemen’s southern and eastern provinces.
In a statement to the official news agency Saba, Sallam affirmed that the spirit of the glorious October 14 Revolution still lives on in the hearts of its people, rejecting guardianship and subordination and adhering to the republic and unity.
He praised the great struggles and sacrifices made by the first generation of heroic revolutionaries in the Radfan Mountains and the south of the country, leading to victory and the expulsion of the British colonialists.
The governor noted the difficult conditions in the southern and eastern province, which are now suffering under the burden of a “new occupation” (referring to the Saudi-led coalition and its loyal factions) that threatens their national identity and unity and perpetuates fragmentation and conflict.
He explained that the blood of the martyrs and the sacrifices of the strugglers will remain a beacon for the people to complete the liberation.
The governor renewed his pledge to the leadership to continue, along with all the honorable people of Aden, in the national battle to restore the occupied Yemeni territories and end all forms of occupation and intervention, stressing that “Yemen’s unity and sovereignty will remain the ultimate goal.”
