GMO warns against traveling ahead of ceasefire announcement

GAZA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza on Thursday warned Palestinian citizens to refrain from movements until an official announcement is made by the relevant Palestinian authorities confirming that the ceasefire has officially come into effect.

In a statement, GMO urged residents to exercise the highest levels of caution during this sensitive period.

It further advised citizens to avoid traveling on or near Al-Rashid and Salah al-Din roads in both directions until formal instructions are issued to ensure public safety.

The statement also warned of the possibility that Israeli occupation forces could breach the agreement or carry out last-minute attacks.

GMO emphasized that protecting civilian lives is a national priority and a shared responsibility, stressing that public awareness and compliance with official instructions are essential to ensuring safety amid ongoing developments on the ground.
