Scale of US military aid to “Israel” since start of Gaza war revealed

GAZA, Oct. 07 (YPA) – A new academic study has revealed that the United States has provided “Israel” with military aid exceeding $21.7 billion since the start of the war in Gaza, spanning the administrations of Presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

The study, published today, Tuesday, by the “Costs of War” project at Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, coinciding with the second anniversary of the October 7 attack, clarified that Washington also spent an additional $10 billion on security assistance and military operations in the broader Middle East region over the past two years.

The project organizers affirmed that their findings are mainly based on open sources. However, their reports are considered among the most comprehensive studies on the scale of US military aid to “Israel”—a key US ally in the region—alongside cost estimations for direct US military interventions in the Middle East.

These study findings emerge amid rising controversy within the United States regarding the scale of military support for “Israel”, especially given the criticisms directed at US policies in the Gaza war and its escalating humanitarian repercussions.
