HADRAMOUT, Oct. 07 (YPA) – The tribes of Wadi Khurd in Al-Shihr district of Hadramout province rejected the armed deployment of the UAE-backed Security Support forces.
During a meeting in the Al-Sahb area of the district, the tribesmen indicated that the UAE’s military movements that have been carried out since last Thursday toward the Al-Sahb and Al-Sayqa areas will be met with confrontation to be unacceptable.
They emphasized that the bad practices of terrorizing civilians and arrogantly storming their tents will not go unanswered, explaining that the Wadi Khurd areas would remain safe and stable, and that there was no justification for the armed deployment.
The sheikhs and notables of the region condemned the irresponsible actions of the “Security Support” forces in violating their areas and homes, describing these actions as reckless behavior that contravenes the law and customs.
They held the coalition-backed local authorities the fully responsible for these actions and their future consequences, calling on these forces to leave Al-Shihr area out of respect for the sanctity of homes and residents.
On the other hand, the youth of the Thain tribes strongly condemned the provocative methods used by the “security support” imported from outside the province to create strife that benefits Hadramout’s enemies.
They described these methods as provocative methods used by external parties to target civil peace within Hadramout, praising the role of the Hamum tribesmen in confronting these violations.
The Thain tribesmen emphasized that they would not accept these provocative actions by anyone, warning against the recurrence of such actions.
