UN rapporteur: Countless children in Gaza get rotted under rubble of homes

GAZA, Oct. 04 (YPA) – The UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, confirmed on Saturday that countless children in Gaza are trapped under the rubble of their homes, as a result of the genocide has been committed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip over the past two years.

“This is a doctor. This is a hospital. This is the floor, and this is a bed. This is a skull split open by genocide. Albanese said in a post on X. “This is a child who will be buried while countless others rot under the rubble of their homes.”

She added, “This is Gaza, where humanity ends.”

The American and European-supported Israeli occupation has continued to commit crimes of genocide, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. These crimes have resulted in the deaths of 67,074 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 169,430 others.

This is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still getting buried under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue teams.
