Palestinian resistance carries out successful operations against Israeli forces’ vehicles in Gaza

GAZA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – The Palestinian resistance announced on Sunday the implementation of a series of “qualitative” and intensive operations targeting Israeli occupation forces and vehicles in several areas of Gaza City.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, stated that its fighters succeeded yesterday, Saturday, in targeting an Israeli Merkava tank with a “Yassin 105” missile south of Al-Salhi Tower in the Tal al-Hawa area, south of the city.

In the same area, the Al-Qassam Brigades targeted an Israeli force entrenched inside a house with an anti-personnel missile, killing and wounding its members. They also targeted a Namer armored personnel carrier with a tandem missile.

The Al-Qassam Brigades added that on Friday, they targeted a Merkava tank with a “Shawaz” explosive device near the Abu Zor farm, in addition to striking a gathering of Israeli forces with several mortar shells. It also noted a sniper operation carried out in the Tuffah neighborhood (Halawa area) on September 24, which resulted in the immediate death of an Israeli soldier.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, confirmed that it had targeted a Merkava tank with an anti-tank missile near the Al-Aseel intersection in the Al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City on Thursday, the 25th of this month.

In a related development, the Al-Quds Brigades announced the destruction of an Israeli military vehicle near the Al-Quds Hospital intersection on September 26 by detonating a previously planted anti-tank explosive device. The Brigades also announced the capture of an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft while it was carrying out intelligence missions in the city’s skies.
