Hamas negotiating delegation survives assassination attempt in Doha

DOHA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – A Hamas negotiating delegation survived on Tuesday the Israeli assassination attempt in the Qatari capital Doha after Israeli airstrikes, Al-Mayadeen TV reported citing a Hamas source.

Earlier today, the Israeli occupation army, in cooperation with the Shin Bet security service, launched a concentrated air attack on the Qatari capital, Doha, targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas movement, according to an announcement by the occupation army.

The Israeli occupation declared that the air attack targeted Hamas’s top brass, who had led the movement’s activities for years and were directly responsible for carrying out the October 7, 2023, attack and launching the war against “Israel”.

Hebrew Channel 12 added that the airstrikes targeted the Hamas negotiating delegation while they were discussing the latest US proposal in Doha.

Previously, Hamas confirmed that it had received some American ideas through mediators to reach an agreement leading to a ceasefire, stressing its welcome for any real action that would contribute to ending the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
