SANAA, Sept. 08 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation is being subjected to a new Yemeni airstrike for the second straight day, according to Hebrew media.
Israeli media said on Monday that air raid sirens sounded in southern Israel following a new attack by Sanaa forces using drones.
Hebrew Channel 14 confirmed that an explosion occurred inside Ramon Airport as a result of a Yemeni drone being shot down, while witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion in the area.
The sources clarified that warnings were sounded around Ramon Airport, noting that Israeli authorities closed the airport’s airspace and that sirens also sounded in the Negev for fear of a drone infiltrating the Dimona area, and the industrial city in the Rotem area.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, affiliated with the Israeli army, quoted its sources as saying that a drone attack was currently targeting the Dimona area, home to the occupation’s largest nuclear reactor, claiming that one of the drones was intercepted.
For its part, Channel 14 added, citing sources, that one of the drones successfully infiltrated the Dimona area.
Some media outlets said that Yemen launched three drones, adding that they entered the airspace from different directions.
The occupation army claimed on Monday to have intercepted three drones that it said were launched from Yemen towards the far south of occupied Palestine, in a security incident that led to a widespread alert and strict measures around Ramon International Airport.
