5 Citizens killed, others injured in Israeli air strikes on south of Lebanon

BEIRUT, Sept. 08 (YPA) – Five citizens killed, others injured when Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes, on Monday, targeting various areas in the Bekaa Valley and Hermel, south of Lebanon.

Lebanese media reported that Israeli aircraft carried out at least 12 consecutive raids, focusing on sites in the mountainous and border areas, resulting in five martyrs and a number of wounded, in addition to significant material damage to property and infrastructure.

The reports indicated that the sounds of explosions echoed loudly in the surrounding villages, causing panic among residents, while ambulance and civil defense teams rushed to the targeted sites to transport the victims and wounded.

These raids come in the context of the occupation’s escalation of its ongoing violations of the ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and the Lebanese resistance.
