Yemeni drone breaches Israeli air defenses, strikes Ramon Airport

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 07 (YPA) – Israeli media reported on Sunday that a drone launched from Yemen successfully breached Israeli air defenses, targeting and exploding at Ramon Airport in the Negev desert, southern occupied Palestine.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, the drone hit the airport’s passenger terminal. Other media outlets reported that two people were injured in the explosion.

Videos circulating on social media showed the moment the drone exploded and smoke rising from the airport.

Following the attack, the Israel Airports Authority announced the closure of the airspace above Ramon Airport.

Israeli media also stated that the security and military establishment had detected four drones coming from Yemen. Three were intercepted, but the fourth managed to reach the airport.

This attack is part of ongoing Yemeni military operations against Israeli targets, affirming their continued support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
