London police arrest more than 400 people in pro-Palestine protests

SANAA, Sept. 07 (YPA) – London police reported that the number of people arrested in pro-Palestinian protests in London exceeded 400.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “As of 9 pm this evening, more than 425 people have been arrested in connection with the protest organized by the Jury Defense Organization in support of the proscribed organization Palestine Action.”

Most of these arrests were carried out on charges of “supporting a proscribed organization, which is an offense under the Terrorism Act,” as they said.

Police explained that more than 25 people were arrested for assaulting police officers.
